Problem 4415

Prove: if the function u=u(x,y,z)u=u(x,y,z) is differentiable in a convex region Ω\Omega and ∣grad⁡u∣⩽M\left|\operatorname {grad} u\right|\leqslant M, where MM is a constant, then for any two points AA, BB in Ω\Omega we have:

∣u(A)−u(B)∣⩽Mρ(A,B), \left|u(A)-u(B)\right| \leqslant M\rho (A,B) ,

where ρ(A,B)\rho (A,B) is the distance between the points AA and BB.
