Evaluate lim⁡ε→0+εx(ε)\lim_{\varepsilon \to 0^{+}} \varepsilon x(\varepsilon ) in terms of vv, the eigenvectors of LL, and the inner product ⟨⋅,⋅⟩\left\langle \cdot , \cdot \right\rangle on Rn\mathbb {R}^{n}.

Find the derivatives with respect to ε\varepsilon of the lengths of the semi-axes of the ellipsoid x2+y2+z2+xy+yz+zx=1+εxyx^{2}+y^{2}+z^{2}+x y+y z+z x=1+\varepsilon x y at ε=0\varepsilon =0.
