Let ω(x)\omega (x) be a positive function of the positive variable xx that increases with xx and tends to +∞+\infty as xx increases to +∞+\infty. A function f(z)f(z), regular in the half-plane Re(z)≥0\mathrm{Re}\left(z\right)\geq 0, that satisfies the inequality

∣f(z)∣≥eω(∣z∣)∣z∣forRe(z)≥0 \left|f(z)\right| \geq e^{\omega (\left|z\right|)\left|z\right|} \quad \text{for} \quad \mathrm{Re}\left(z\right)\geq 0

does not exist.

The function g(z)g(z) is assumed to be an entire function, M(r)M(r) be the maximum of ∣g(z)∣\left|g(z)\right| on the circle ∣z∣=r\left|z\right|=r. If

lim⁡r→∞log⁡M(r)r=0 \lim _{r\to \infty } \frac{\log M(r)}{\sqrt{r}} = 0

then g(z)g(z) cannot be bounded along any ray. [E.g.g(z)g(z) is not bounded along the negative real axis.]
